This new feature was named Reel Power. As previously mentioned, there are 243 combinations of pay lines on classic 5-reel slots, and each has 3 symbols on every reel. This essentially means that players only pay for 5 reels instead of 243 pay lines. Changing bets requires players to bets per reel and not per line. Winnings are multiplied by bets per reel while scatter wins are multiplied by the cost of the total bet.

Although Reel Power had 243 paying lines, this wasn’t enough for many Australian players and the company had to devise and come up with more than 243 paying lines on their 5-reel slots. A simple idea was developed which added more symbols on each reel. 4 symbols on 5 reels meant 1024 ways which were named Xtra Reel Power, and after they added 5 symbols to each reel, slots had a total of 3125 which was further called Super Reel Power.
